Additional Information ▼
There are stamps with a horizontally or vertically shifted overprint. In the case of a significant vertical shift of the overprint, the new nominal value falls at the top of the stamp, and the year at the bottom. In these cases, only the year or only the nominal value appears overprinted on the stamps in the final horizontal rows of the postal sheet. There are also stamps with a double overprint. There are samples of 80 with a red and black overprint, and of 81 - with a black-green, yellow-green and blue-green overprint. The year "1909" is overprinted on 80-81, which makes these invalid "Ferdinand I" stamps valid again with the newly overprinted values.
